The Weekend Fixer is editorially independent. This page explains how the site makes money, what advertising appears here, and the rules Jake follows to keep recommendations honest.

How this site is funded

The Weekend Fixer earns revenue from display advertising only — specifically Google AdSense units served alongside articles. We do not participate in any of the following:

  • Affiliate programs. No Amazon Associates, no Home Depot or Lowe’s affiliate links, no tool-manufacturer commissions. When we mention a brand or product, we don’t earn anything if you buy it.
  • Sponsored posts. No brand has ever paid for an article on this site.
  • Paid product placements. No company pays to appear in our roundups or buying guides.
  • Press tour or PR-trip coverage. Jake pays his own way to anything he writes about.

About the ads you see

Display ads on The Weekend Fixer are served by Google AdSense. Google selects which ads appear based on the page content and, for users who have not opted out, on personalized signals. We do not control which specific advertisers appear, and an ad’s presence is not an endorsement.

Editorial independence

This is non-negotiable:

  • We do not recommend products we haven’t used. Every tool or material discussed on this site was purchased, demoed, or borrowed and personally used by Jake on a real project.
  • We disclose negative experiences. If a product we recommended turned out to be flawed, the article gets updated with a warning.
  • Advertisers see no editorial preview. Google AdSense has no input into article topics, conclusions, or product mentions.
  • No paid integrations. If this ever changes — for example, if Jake accepts a one-off sponsored project — the article will carry a clear “Sponsored” label at the top. As of the date above, no such article exists on this site.

AI-assisted content disclosure

Some article drafts on The Weekend Fixer are first prepared with AI assistance and then edited, fact-checked, and supplemented by Jake before publishing. Every published guide is reviewed by a human author who has personally completed the project being described. We follow the standards in our Editorial Policy for fact-checking and source attribution.

Conflicts of interest

Jake Morgan, the author, has no financial relationship with the tool manufacturers, retailers, or service providers mentioned on this site beyond being a paying customer. If that ever changes — for example, if Jake takes consulting work for a brand — the relevant articles will be updated to disclose the connection.

Reader corrections
